Description
When most people think of Maine, they think of lobsters and beautiful, rugged coastlines, and while those things help to make Maine what it is, there is so much more to be seen. To me, Maine is little tucked away places, such as this - off the beaten path, requiring a little effort to get to, but well worth the hike. Places of beauty, solitude, and occasional glimpses of wildlife in their natural habitat. These are the places I enjoy the most. Taken from the shore of Fourth Pond in Blue Hill, ME.

This image made me just sigh from relief, these are the scenes that really speak to my heart and bring relaxation and joy. I'm still a country girl at heart even though I now life in the concrete boxes of urbanity.

Thank you so much, Donna! I know exactly how you feel. Having grown up exploring the outdoors and nature, I find myself growing restless if I am forced to go too long without being able to just get out and roam. One of my favorite things to do is get out in the woods and go for a nice long hike - just by myself or occasionally with my Black Lab, Gunner. I do hope that you are able to make time for those things which you, as a country girl, enjoy the most.
